物語
The earlier chapters of life were amazing for Aya. She was the first daughter to Hiroshi Akiyama and Katsumi Hamamoto. Not taking so much time (only two years!) another blessing arrived with the name of Aimi Akiyama.
Aya was not born in a rich, glamorous family. Hiroshi was only a chef in a small local restaurant, while Katsumi stopped working after having Aimi. But all the time they spent together as a family were happy times that Aya would not like to forget.
Not until she turned seven. Hiroshi and Katsumi decided to end their marriage. It was not a messy separation, not like the one people usually have in a soap opera. It was rather calm. Hiroshi had Aya, while Katsumi took Aimi with her. Despite what had happened, Hiroshi was still as sweet as ever, though Aya knew that he too suffered from the pain and struggles, especially after getting the news of his (ex) wife getting married to another man. Hiroshi never told her much of why it had to end, of what he had been feeling. Aya had never wanted to open the wounds either. So she thought to herself, perhaps it was better to only stay with her dad without asking much.
She had never seen both her mom and her sister again after the divorce.
If Hiroshi could describe his dear child in a word, he would answer 'joy'. Aya brought so much joy to his life. The girl was born bubbly. Though she was born as the oldest, she was still so child-liked even in her early 20s. Even though she might seem soft, she was actually not. The last time she cried was when she was 15, the time when Hiroshi cried due to the pressure he had from work. Besides all that, she was born clumsy and stubborn. The two traits are what people despised most about her, but she always tries to change for the better. She talks a lot for an introvert, but she mostly keep things to herself. She had built a barrier around her, meaning that not a lot of people could get in, only some that she allowed to. She jokes around too much that sometimes even when she was being extremely serious about a matter, people would thought that was a joke too.
Aya always had an interest in painting. Since she was a child, she used most of her books to draw and paint. Once she used her brush on the wall, which caused Katsumi to explode. It was crystal clear that she was born to paint. Hiroshi had doubt about the future for her, but looking how much effort and passion she put on every each of her painting, he finally gave in, allowing Aya to continue her study in Tokyo, taking the scholarship in Tokyo University of the Arts majoring in Painting. It was so lucky of her that her aunt offered a place to stay that does not cost much, which was why Hiroshi agreed on sending his only companion off to the big city.
